About Stanley Zale

Stanley Zale has over 40 years of experience in the diamond industry.  He began learning as a teenager at the Zale Corporation office at 450 W 33rd St in New York City.  Working first as a sawyer, he learned how to plan rough diamonds, thus beginning his education in the industry at the wheel.

Working his way up, Stanley led Zale’s rough diamond buying, cutting and production operation in the days when they were a DTC Sightholder.

Beginning in the early 1990s, he spent nearly a decade working for the legendary diamantaire, Louis Glick, before moving on to Stuller, Inc., as Vice President Diamonds and Gemstones.

Stanley led Stuller’s loose diamond and gemstone businesses for 17 years.  Most significant among his many accomplishments at Stuller was the development and implementation of their industry-leading undisclosed lab grown diamond screening and detection program.  Stanley was integral in establishing a branch of the GIA’s Melee Analysis Service within Stuller’s global headquarters in Lafayette, Louisiana, the first branch of the GIA to operate outside of their own offices.

Currently, Stanley serves on the boards for Jewelers Security Alliance (JSA) and Diamond Manufacturers and Importers Association (DMIA). He has previously been a member of the Executive Board of the Jewelers Vigilance Committee (JVC). He is a member of the 24 Karat Club of New York and the 24 Karat Club Southeast.

In addition to learning so much from his grandfather, M.B. Zale, Stanley is fortunate to count Louis Glick and Matt Stuller as the strongest influences and teachers in his career.
